Best accommodation of our trip

Day 4 of our 2-week trip to WA and, having stopped at Busselton Jetty and Equinox bar on the way through from BeFremantle, we received a friendly welcome at Whalers Cove and quickly settled into our fantastic villa, Lexington. Set right at the rear of the complex (ie well away from the main road), it's literally a stone's throw from the beach across a lawn from the large terrace through a grove of old and beautiful native peppermint trees. It's particularly quiet and peaceful and we slept very well there for our 2-night stay. The villa is very comfortable and is so big that a family could live there. In addition to a quiet beach, there is a sealed walking path so we enjoyed great morning and evening walks. A 10-minute walk also gets you to Dunsborough village with a wide range of restaurants, shops, supermarkets etc. In fact, four of the best meals of our trip were at local restaurants - Blue Manna and Wise Eagle Bay Winery on the earlier part of our trip and Yarri and Palmer's Winery on the return leg. Yarri was the standout restaurant of the whole trip.

A little bit of paradise

Our second time at Whalers Cove (first three years ago) and it was better than ever. Amazing place to stay (Villa Hibernia) just seconds from the beach. Quiet yet very social. Easy to get into Dunsborough and travel anywhere in Margaret River area. The whole resort is very clean with beautiful gardens. The Managers, were also very friendly and helpful. Can't wait to come back.

Room Tip: The website allows you to pick and choose your villas with a good selection of pictures so definitely worth looking at each one to see which suits you best.

Stayed here with my partners children last week during the school holidays. It was clean and catered to our needs. The kids loved having their own loft to themselves. The complex was quiet even though it was fully booked, which was awesome, we didn’t feel like anyone else was staying there. The villas are so close to the beach and walking distance to cafes and supermarket. Definitely will book to stay again, recommend booking early to obtain a Villa as gets booked very quickly.
